ENP – Online Platform Code of Conduct
The (Platform name) Code of Conduct is one of the ways we put Scadding Court Community Centre’s values into practice. It’s built around the recognition that everything we do in connection with our work at Scadding Court Community Centre will be, and should be, measured against the highest possible standards of ethical business conduct. We set the bar that high for practical as well as aspirational reasons: Respect for our users, for the opportunity, and for each other are foundational to our success, and are something we need to support every day.
The Agreement is entered into by and between the Entrepreneurial Networking Program (ENP), a program operated by Scadding Court Community Centre and funded by the Toronto Foundation, (the “Forum”), for the benefit of [User’s Full Name] (the “User”) to participate in the forum.
The Forum believes in providing and maintaining an environment in which everyone is free from harassment and discrimination. All Users must comply with all requirements of the Ontario Human Rights Code (the “Code”) and agree not to utilize program platforms, resources and/or property to discriminate or harass on the basis of race, ancestry, place of origin, ethnic origin (including language, dialect or accent), citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, record of offences, disability, age, marital status, family status or any other characteristic protected by law. The Program also prohibits behaviour that humiliates, intimidates, excludes, and / or isolates an individual or group, which may or may not be based on one of the prohibited grounds of harassment / discrimination under the Code but is nonetheless prohibited to prevent a poisoned environment.
The User, while participating in the Forum, agrees not to promote speech, product(s), service(s) and/or content(s) that are discriminatory or harassing, pursuant to the Code or otherwise. The User further agrees to review and abide by the City of Toronto’s Human Rights and Anti-Harassment Policy, a copy of which is appended to the Agreement.
In the event the User breaches the Agreement by engaging in misconduct including, but not limited to, promoting speech, product(s), service(s) and/or content(s) that could be considered discriminatory or harassing pursuant to the Code or otherwise, the Forum Administrators and staff reserve the right to remove the User from the Forum. The User further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Forum from and against any and all costs, losses, claims and damages, including legal fees, costs, expenses and disbursements incurred in investigating, preparing for or defending any action, claim, complaint, investigation or other proceeding that is directly or indirectly caused by, relates to, is based upon, arises out of or is in connection with any breach of the Agreement by the User.
I have received a copy of the Agreement and acknowledge and accept its terms. I am executing the Agreement freely and voluntarily and with full understanding of its contents.
